Getting Settled

Life is finally feeling "real". We get up in the morning, go to work, come home to each other, and do real life things like meet up with friends, walk Austin, make dinner, watch t.v... We are still moving things in and getting organized, which is fun and a pain at the same time.

We got a majority of our wedding photos from Rhys and tomorrow I'm gonna share a few of them on here... which will kick off some of our 'bits and pieces' of the wedding random blog posts.

Both our parents left last week on separate vacations (my parents to the beach, and Isaac's parents (and brothers) went to Florida and Mexico) and are all coming back today! We are really excited to see everyone!! :]

Our Honeymoon!

For our honeymoon, we traveled to the beautiful island of Kauai. We spent a total of 9 days there and did everything from snorkeling to kayaking to bodyboarding. We even saw a shark! Yikes! The food was great, the people were nice, and we kicked off our first week as a married couple in one of the most scenic places in the world. Here are just a few photos from our amazing trip (we took 742).

Oh, and we also bought a new camera for the trip that was able to take underwater photos... SUPER SWEET! The only issue was that the date was set to come up in each photo and it happened to be the wrong date. Still not complaining lol, Enjoy!

We are...

.M.A.R.R.I.E.D.

.BACK.FROM.OUR.HONEYMOON.

.MOVING.IN/UNPACKING.

.BACK.TO.WORK.

.DID.WE.MENTION.MARRIED???? :] :] :]

We have been unpacking, getting settled, and decorating our place, and it has been so fun! We love our home, but our favorite part is that it's OURS!

Isaac is posting information about our honeymoon soon, and then we will start updating on our getting settled process and projects! We have a few empty walls that need filling, a few items that don't quite have a place that need some creative storage options, and of course lots of sorting, cleaning, and organizing! We will also start a wedding "series" with little bits and pieces of the wedding instead of putting it all in one big post! So get ready for some serious He Said. She Said. WE Said. :]

25 days and counting...

Crunch time is underway... We have quite the to-do list, but we've also got a ton of great people to help lighten our loads :]

This past weekend was a big DB weekend. On thursday there was the BIYD premier at the Blue Mouse Theater! So much fun, and a pretty good turn out! Isaac was feeling super sick, which was no fun because the Dash Point skim comp was on Saturday! He ended up feeling much better by Saturday! The comp morning started off cloudy and cold, but the sun creeped out and it was a great day! All three Thomas boys placed in different divisions (Seth got 1st in the under 16, Josiah got 4th in the AM, and Isaac 2nd in the Pro). Shout out to our great friend Tony for placing 4th in the Pro also!! :] Our good friend Hailey also graced us with her presence for the weekend! So much fun to see her and have a buddy on the sidelines throughout the comp and at the after BBQs, etc!

We have been getting a ton done lately, and we have one of our "final" meetings with Kerra tomorrow night at the OG (Olive Garden), a huge favorite of ours, haha. At this point we just have little things here and there to take care of (like printing programs, favor details, making fabric garlands for the tent, making flower girl attire, and a few other things!!) but for the most part we are pretty relaxed and hoping to get lots of non-planning time in together over the next month!

We have been working on preparing our "home" for post-wedding living, and it has been really fun! Isaac found two matching couches we are working on cleaning and covering, I have been getting rid of A TON of things that just dont fit (and I probably haven't really needed for years, but had trouble abandoning), and we have been decorating, organizing, and painting furniture!

The next three (oh my gosh) weekends left before the Wedding are filled with exciting things (bachelor/bachelorette parties, a shower, etc.) This weekend is Isaac's bachelor party!! The boys are taking him on a mini-trip Friday-Sunday! I know he is super excited!

As the check-lists shorten everything is feeling more and more real!! :]

Amazing.

This mother and father has 5 children under the age of 6. Amazing. Their newest member is a son from Africa. Amazing. They adopted him at the same time they were having their fourth child. Amazing. They have twins, a baby girl she gave birth to & a baby boy the family adopted. AMAZING.

Take a look at these siblings:

Read more about this family and their amazing journey here. God is amazing.

Yes Please: Wonderful Wall

(From here)
Yes please: I would like to create this wall on our one yellow bedroom wall! I think the fact that the bedding in the picture is the exact bedding we asked for is a sign :] Good thing we just found a free dresser on the side of the road!

We are D.O.N.E.

Yup, you heard me, we're done. We are both done with the 2009-2010 school year! WE DID IT! :] Now we just have to student teach... just student teach! Haha. What a joke.

So we are currently wrapping up our final week, ever, in Bellingham. It is very bitter sweet. We have been doing a few "bellinghammy" things (like lunch at avenue bread, walking through whatcom falls park, etc.) and tomorrow we are going on a hike in the AM and then spending the day with two of our best friends doing more "bellinghammy" things.

We are leaving Saturday in the early evening, right after the WellSpring graduation. How will we spend our last day in Bellingham??

Being done with school will bring a lot of "new" things such as: actual time to do wedding stuff (we've got 44 days!!!), summer jobs (Isaac will be doing DB camps, working at the DB shop, and skimming & I will be nannying two of the greatest girls in the whole world: Lindsey and Allison), decorationg our home (which is currently filled with piles and piles of our "stuff" from Bellingham.... organizing and getting situated is going to take a lot of time!), and getting ready for LIFE. This will also bring more time for blogging and updating this place with our life.

On Sunday we are going to try to "test" out our first Tacoma church! Wish us luck! If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know! We are hoping church hoping does not last as along in Tacoma as it did in Bellingham (i.e. 4 whole years!)

Love,
BonnieJean
